What is the difference between a name plate and a data plate?
Name plates display your company name, logo, and brand identity on equipment. Data plates display technical specifications such as serial numbers, capacity ratings, voltage, amperage, and compliance information. Many manufacturers order both for their equipment: a name plate for branding and a data plate for technical data.
Can you match our specific brand colors?
Yes. In addition to our standard baked enamel colors (Yellow, White, Black, Red, Orange, Dark Blue, Green, Brown, Peacock Blue, Natural Color of Metal, and Gold), we offer custom color matching to your brand specifications. The baked enamel finish is permanent and resists UV fading.
How does TECH-3D embossing compare to etching or anodizing?
TECH-3D embossing creates raised characters by pressing them into the metal on high tonnage presses. The result is bold, three-dimensional text that is part of the metal itself. Etched and anodized plates create flat or recessed text that can wear away over time. TECH-3D embossed text remains legible even after overpainting, which etched and anodized text cannot guarantee.
What materials are available?
We offer aluminum (.025, .040, .060, .063), stainless steel (.020, .060), brass (.032, .060), and cold rolled steel (.035, .047). Aluminum is the most common choice for general applications.
